Housing prices soar to an 18-year record in March

The median sale price of homes in March reached the highest increase in 18 years, jumping to $210,000, according to Realcomp.com.

March also saw the highest showing numbers in 16 years. Record-low interest rates and fewer homes on the market are pushing prices up.

Most buyers are forgoing private inspection and guaranteeing appraisal while still paying thousands of dollars above the asking price. This is a great time to sell.
