Ahmad Chebbani, business leader, successful entrepreneur
Ahmad Chebbani is president and CEO of Omnex Accounting and Tax Services, a company he started in 1987 and is now the largest accounting firm in the region.
Ahmad is the chairman of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest Arab American business organizations in the United States. Ahmad and a group of business leaders founded the chamber in 1992 to represent the business community, and it recently includes 1,300 companies, ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations and executives.
Ahmad is also the Chairman and co-founder of the American Middle East Economic Affairs Committee (AMEEAC), which organizes the US-Arab Economic Forum. Since its inception in 2002, Ahmad’s leadership led to three internationally successful Forums in 2003, 2006 and 2008, convening the top decision-makers and business leaders from the United States and the Arab World to create economic and personal ties that could lead to a more economically stable and peaceful region.
Ahmad frequently hosts foreign delegations from across the globe as they look to engage the Detroit area for investment and as an economic link and business partnership between the U.S. and the Middle East.
Ahmad’s lifelong advocacy on behalf of Arab-American entrepreneurs, domestically and internationally, has been a top priority in his business practice.
