Local mayors retain seats

Detroit, Dearborn and Dearborn Heights mayors retain their seats Tuesday by a large margin. Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan defeated State Sen. Coleman Young II, netting more than 70,000 votes while Young got about 27,000 votes.

Dearborn Heights Mayor Daniel Paletko defeated Lisa Hicks-Clayton 4647 to 3, 504.
Dearborn Mayor John O’Reilly defeated Tom Tafelski, winning 57 percent of the votes.
Hamtramck Mayor Karen Majewski retained her seat with 61 percent of the votes.
