American women of Middle Eastern origin or connection in Michigan have been on the march to success for years now, establishing successful businesses, becoming CEO’s, judges and winning elections.

Rashida Tlaib is one of those women who has beat difficult odds and achieved success as a first Arab-American woman to serve in Lansing. Her recent win for the U.S. Congress has attracted headlines, as she is the first Muslim-American woman to serve in Washington.

We plan to highlight American women of Middle Eastern origin or connection in Michigan who have achieved great success and leadership status. The women listed on this page are only the beginning of this project. We ask you kindly to send us nominations to include in this page. Nominations can be sent to kh10@comcast.net and please let us know how we can reach the person.
