Community remembers a hero

The community will say goodbye to the late Congressman John Dingell today in a public mass in Dearborn.

Dingell, the longest serving member of Congress in American history and an advocate for health insurance, the environment and Michiganders, died last week at the age of 92.

The public funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. the Dearborn’s Church of the Divine Child at 1055 N Silvery Ln, Dearborn, MI 48128.

Former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden are some of the speakers at the mass today.

Dingell will be remembered for being a powerhouse in Congress and fought hard for the auto industry and against government corruption and waste. Please read more about Dingell’s legacy.
