Median home sale price jumps 50%
The price of homes in Detroit is rising fast, almost doubling its value.
The median sales price for homes in the city jumped 50 percent in August over last year. That median is currently at $36,000.
The increase is the highest in the metro Detroit area and it is due to a spike in demand for homes in the city by residents and investors. The price of homes in Detroit is still way bellow the median price of homes in suburbs.
