Change of leadership at ACCESS
After 41 years of service, Hassan Jaber, the largest Arab-American social service organization leader, is handing the baton to executive director Maha Freij.
Jaber, president and CEO of the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), will pursue national transformative projects.
ACCESS Board of Directors appointed Freij this week to succeed Jaber, according to ACCESS website. The change will take place in September.
Jaber, who joined access in 1980, has helped ACCESS grow the organization to 120 programs, operating out of 10 locations in southeast Michigan and three respected national Arab American institutions.
Freij, joined ACCESS in 1991 and became executive director in 2019, after serving as deputy executive director and CFO for 12 years. She is credited with many accomplishments.
We wish Jaber the best of luck. We are confident that Freij will continue what Jaber started and keep ACCESS on the road to success.
